My Body by Vi Challenge – ending week 2 May 23, 2010

I’m ending up my week 2, looks like a 1.5 pound loss for this week.
BUT, I’m amazed at some changes that have happened.
First, my want/taste for coffee has gone down drastically. I was a 5-6 cup a day coffee drinker. I don’t even drink a cup a day now. And my craving/want for diet sodas has decreased if not gone away! Now I WANT water. Maybe it’s all psychological because I know I’m doing something good for my body now.

I ran out of milk mid-week and didn’t have time to stop at the store. But I had a bottle of V8 Fusion and made my smoothie shakes with that! It was YUMMY!
1 cup V8 Fusion (berry)
1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
2 scoops Visalus Powder
Also, one morning I didn’t want to run the blender and mixed my powder with warm apple sauce and a dash of cinnamon. It was like a warm apple pie!

I did go buy a Single Serve shake maker by Hamilton Beach. It works great!! MUCH quieter than my huge blender!

1 week and 2 pounds lighter!
I LOVE these smoothie shakes! Actually, it’s almost as if I CRAVE them.
I was not one to eat my daily portions of fruit. This is one way
that I am eating my fruits – in a YUMMO way!

I bought frozen slice strawberries and frozen mango chunks.
I also bought bananas and sliced them up, placed them in a container.
I’ve had combos of strawberries, mangoes and bananas.

Gosh, writing about it makes me WANT one…. Which is a GOOD thing
because mixing the powder and fruit without the milk makes a
GREAT high protein snack!

Today starts my 90 day challenge! I got my kit yesterday and could hardly wait to go to sleep and wake up to have my shake!

I made the “coffee” frappuccino. 2 scoops, soy milk, some instant coffee, a handful of ice cubes and blend well. It was YUMM-O!

So, I weighed this morning. Hubby is going to help me take some before pictures.
It’s time for a change!
